Albóndigas are a typical Spanish confort food.
Albóndigas are delicious meatballs that normally remind Spaniards their roots.
A food loved by everybody, children and adults, perfect to prepare when you have guests as you can make them in advance.
And they are not difficult to make!
As for many traditional recipes there are different versions, so this is one of the several albóndigas recipes you might taste.
Let’s see all the ingredients you need!
500 gramos de carne picada mixta –> 500g of mixed minced meat
2 huevos –> 2 eggs
1 cebolla blanca –> 1 white onion
150 gramos de pan de molde sin corteza –> 150g of sliced bread without crust
100ml de leche –> 100ml of milk
2 dientes de ajo –> 2 cloves of garlic
500 gramos de salsa de tomate –> 500g of tomato sauce
1 cucharada de perejil picado –> 1 tablespoon of chopped parsley
1 pizca de paprika –> 1 pinch of paprika
sal –> salt
aceite de oliva virgen extra –> extra virgin olive oil
And now the procedure to make the best albóndigas ever!
Put the bread in a bowl, pour the milk and leave it until completely absorbed.
Mix minced meat, bread, eggs, salt, chopped garlic and paprika.
Roll the meatballs making sure that they are all the same size and perfectly round.
Put some extra virgin olive oil in a pan and fry the meatballs.
Once they are ready take them out and put aside.
Heat some oil in a large pan, add the chopped onion and cook until brown.
Put the tomato sauce and cook for 10 minutes.
Add the fried meatballs and let them cook in the sauce for 20 minutes.
When the dish is almost ready, sprinkle the parsley on top.
Your albóndigas are ready, serve them hot and enjoy!
