Have you ever visited some Christmas Markets in Spain?

As in many other countries, in Spain Christmas Markets are an important tradition and every year attract a huge crowd of tourists.

Let’s see what are the ten best markets in the country!

Fira de Santa Llúcia. Considered the best Christmas market in Barcelona, it is located in front of the cathedral and this year will take place until the 23rd December.

It is made of wooden stalls split in four sectors: Nativity Scenes and Figures, Greenery and Plants, Crafts and Simbombes.

Fira de Nadal a la Sagrada Familia. Also in Barcelona, this market is very famous for the spectacular location around the Sagrada Familia and offers any kind of Christmas gift you are looking for. It will be open until the 23rd December, so hurry up!

Mercado de Navidad de Plaza Mayor. If you are in Madrid, this is the main Christmas market in the city.

Open from the 26th November to the 31st December, it is one of the biggest Christmas markets in Spain with its 104 booths where you can find the finest hand-made products.

Feria de Atracciones de Navidad. In Valencia the traditional market includes an amazing funfair to spend some time having fun!

Feria del Belén. Heading to Seville for Christmas? You will find a unique type of Christmas markets, specialised only in set and figures for the Nativity Scenes, called Beléns in Spanish.

Mercado Navideño de Artesanía. In Seville you can also find a more traditional market taking place in Plaza Nueva where you can buy many lovely gifts, especially ceramics. Open until the 5th January 2022.

Mercadillo Navideño Plaza del Pilar. In Zaragoza you can enjoy another great market including 40 stalls, a huge Belén and a fantastic ice rink!
