For example, why don’t you cook a typical Spanish dish?

If you do, follow the recipe in Spanish: it is not only a great exercise, but also good fun!

You should start with one of the most famous Spanish recipes: the gazpacho!

What ingredients do you need?

1/2 kilo de tomate maduro –> 1/2 kg of ripe tomatoes

1/2 pimiento verde –> 1/2 green pepper

1 diente de ajo –> 1 clove of garlic

1/2 pepino –> 1/2 cucumber

1 dl de aceite de oliva –> 1 dl of olive oil

4 cucharadas de vinagre de vino –> 4 tablespoons of vinegar

1 rebanada de pan bianco –> 1 slice of white bread

sal fina –> fine salt

And now, let’s see how to make it!

Escalda y pela los tomates e introduce en el vaso de la batidora.

Blanch and peel the tomatoes and put them in the blender.

Añade el pepino pelado y troceado, el pimiento, el ajo y el pan remojado en agua.

Add the cucumber peeled and chopped, the pepper, the garlic and the bread soaked in water.

Tritura durante y añade la sal, el vinagre y el aceite.

Blend for a while and add salt, vinegar and oil.

Pasa por chino a una sopera y deja enfriar durante una hora.

Pour through a sieve into a soupdish and then cool it down for an hour.

Sirve el gazpacho en tazas individuales acompañando con una guarnición de dados de pan, de pepino, de cebolla, de tomate y de huevo duro.

Serve the gazpacho in individual bowls garnishing it with cubes of bread, cucumber, onion, tomato and hard-boiled egg.
