Any plans to celebrate the International Women’s Day 2022?

The International Women’s Day 2022 on the 8th March will be plenty of interesting events to join, either online or in presence: for instance, London offers amazing ways to celebrate it

If you don’t know much about the Women’s Day and want to read something about the origins of this important day you can find more information here.

Every year the IWD Website launches a specific campaign theme: this year the theme is #BreakTheBias, for a world free of bias and discrimination, where diversity is a value. Everyone can join the campaign sending images with arms crossed and the hashtag to show support and commitment to call out stereotypes and bias.

And now some lovely events to join in London!

1 WOW –  Women of The World Festival

Musicians, activists, performers, writers, speakers for the an amazing event which includes talks, performances, workshops and more. The festival will take place in the Southbank Centre from the 11th to the 13th March and offers a digital programme too.

2 Women in Focus Festival

A number of lovely events about poetry, music, comedy and interesting meetings that will carry on from the 8th to the 26th march at Poplar Union.

3 Women  in The Arts

Follow some online events celebrating women in the arts organised by the National Gallery: scholars and artists will discuss the role of women artists through some online sessions to join.

4 Women’s History Walks Month

A month of walks organised by Look Up and led by guides through many areas in London to tell the stories of inspiring women and uncover their lives.

5 Women’s History Month

Follow some interesting talks about women pirates and untold stories within the navy. The events are organised by Royal Museums Greenwich and take place online.
