The Pyrenees are a natural border between France and Spain and are a perfect winter destination.

On the Spanish side, there are a lot of cute little towns and many chances to do winter sports and hiking.

Let’s discover this spectacular area!

If you want to plan a tour, you can start from the Catalonia Pyrenees, a fantastic area to enjoy the wild nature and various outdoor activities.

Apart from skiing at La Molina and Vall de Núria, where you can find all the facilities to spend a fantastic time on the snow, you can go hiking in La Garrotxa Volcanic Natural Park or choose a trail in the Vall de Camprodon, for example the route which follows a trail of stone shepards’ huts.

And if you prefer cycling there are many cycling routes in La Garrotxa you will like.

Visit the town of Besalù, one of the most enchanting of the area: a medieval village accessible via a spectacular bridge over a river.

Aragonese Pyrenees offer amazing chances to enjoy the stunning mountains and views.

Canyoning in Sierra de Guara would be a fantastic adventure, as well as rafting near Murillo de Gallego.

And if you want to ski, Formigal offers excellent on and off piste.

Don’t forget to taste some great wine in the Somontano region with its 33 wineries that you can discover through different tours.

In the region of Aragon, don’t miss Lanuza, a super cute town surrounded by impressive peaks that make this place magic.

The Westernmost part of Spanish Pyrenees are in the Navarra region: untouched forests, beautiful valleys, ancient and strong traditions to discover.

Make some time to walk through the Sierra de Aralar with its wonderful paths.

You will find historical places such as the Santuario de San Miguel and some natural gems as the Cueva de Mendukilo, a beautiful natural cave.
